Rules & Regulations: Power Wheels Race Ages 3-5
1 .This is supposed to be fun for the kids, parents please let them have fun! Judges can rule that children won't participate if there are modifications to the car more than those allowed that are stated below! Riders will race from one end of the arena to the other. There will be first, second and third place winners.
2. Kids 3-5 years of age may participate.
3. Derby is limited to 6 to 12 volt power wheels ONLY. No connecting multiple batteries together. (This makes the power wheel move too fast, and makes it unsafe)
4. No added reinforcements for strength.
5. All doors and tailgates must be strapped shut. No sharp edges. Use zip ties or duct tape (or other flexible products) to make them stay shut.
6. Stock tires only. No screws in tires, no chains, etc.
7. Do NOT raise or lower. They must be the stock height that came from the store.
8. The vehicle is allowed to have UP TO a 12 volt lawn mower or motorcycle battery. Battery cannot be mounted in the passenger seat and the battery must be secured and sealed away from the child.
9. Decorative changes can be made to the Power Wheels to make it look like a derby car; however, there can be no reinforcement to the Power Wheels. Changes and additions can ONLY be decorative, such as header pipes sticking up, painting the car, etc.
10. Helmets are mandatory; bicycle helmet is sufficient.
11. Shoes or sneakers required. NO sandals.
12. Power Wheels must have a seat belt and child must use it!
13. No passengers.
14. Participants may pre-register online or register on-site at 5:30 on Friday.
15. When choosing a Power Wheels for your child, please keep in mind these vehicles will be running into each other (like bumper cars or derby cars). The Power Wheels vehicle needs to be the kind the child sits IN, not ON, and they need to be seat belted INTO the car.
16. NO 4-WHEELERS, TRACTORS, MOTORCYCLES - must be a vehicle they sit IN, not ON.
17. Everyone must pay gate admission to the fair.

Each Power Wheels will have four (4) balloons attached to each side of the vehicle. The goal is to pop the other participants' balloons on their Power Wheels until there is only one Power Wheels with inflated balloon(s). When all four of a participant's balloons are deflated, they are out but must remain in their car. There will be first, second and third place winners.

By submitting and signing the form electronically below, you agree to the following:
The undersigned hereby acknowledges that she/he is fully aware that participation in this event involves possible risk of injury due to the nature of the event and natural conditions. The undersigned hereby waives the right to institute a lawsuit for damages against or to recover damages from the Neversink Agricultural Society based on any injury that occurs due to such inherent risk. The undersigned also affirms that she/he is solely responsible for choosing and maintaining the equipment that the participant uses and that the undersigned waives any claim for damages against the Neversink Agricultural Society based on an injury due to the operation of their equipment while participating in a derby show sponsored by the Neversink Agricultural Society due to any equipment failure of defect. The undersigned further acknowledges Neversink Agricultural Society is not responsible for the conduct of other participants in such show and their equipment and hereby waives any claim for damages against Neversink Agricultural Society based on injury due to contact of another participant in such event or other participant's equipment.
